Grant Proposal: Grant Proposal on Solar Energy and Laws of Motion -

Would you love to write a grant proposal but just can’t seem to get started? This winning proposal may be just what you need to jumpstart your students’ ability to work together in problem solving challenges. This grant, originally written for gifted and talented students in grades 3-6, is easily adaptable for multiple grades and abilities as a STEM project. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)
The components of the grant include:

• Target Population, Amount of Funding
• A Project Summary
• The Goals and Purpose
• A Narrative Description of the Project
• Description of Events and Activities
• Collaboration with local, state, and/or
national organizations

Students will explore the global problems related to the use of non-renewable resources. They will investigate the abundant power of solar energy in order to better understand the benefits of alternate sources of fuel. These energetic young people will design and build a competitive solar race car and examine all the factors which contribute to a successful competition. Use this document as a guide and you too can develop an award winning grant and ignite enthusiasm for learning.
