Description

Students love to interview others...and interviewing their own grandparent and turning it into a three paragraph writing composition will be one of their favorite writing assignments of the year!

This resource provides you with a directions handout to give to students and parents, a bulletin board poster, lesson ideas, and interview questions menu. The interview questions handout gives your students a choice board so they can pick what questions they would like to ask. They choose three questions across, down or diagonal. The responses to these questions are then organized in a three paragraph writing composition. Finally, students are encouraged to draw or get a picture of their grandparents for a cover. Students love to share and compare how school days are different from their own classroom today.

It's always fun to hear their classmates' interviews, especially when grandparents come from diverse backgrounds, and get to share very unique experiences. This resource can be used for a special Grandparents Day or anytime during the school year for a terrific authentic writing experience,
