Description

Start every day with a five-minute (or less) grammar review using these High School Grammar Warm-ups! Each day builds on previous days' and weeks' skills for seamless reviewing and re-teaching.

Each two-sided weekly high school grammar warm-up includes five activities--one for each day of the week. Students can grab their worksheet of warm-ups for the week on Monday, work each day at the beginning of class, and turn in the week's work on Friday.

Each week focuses on a different grammatical skill. Each day reviews this skill, mixing in some review from previous skill focuses. The grammar skills build upon one another over time--beginning with a review of nouns and verbs and working up through sentence types and using a variety of punctuation.

These High School Grammar Warm-ups will not only turn your students into grammar wizards, but they'll help create and reinforce your start-of-class routine--streamlining your classroom management.

Have a weird three-day week? Want to add or change a question? Just use the included editable Google Docs to make the adjustments needed for your classroom!

These are the skill focuses for each week:

  • Week 1: Nouns, Verbs, & Subjects
  • Week 2: Subjects, Predicates, & Clauses
  • Week 3: Clauses
  • Week 4: Sentence Types
