How to Use This Grammar Bell Ringers and Task Cards Resource:

• Social Media Slip-Up of the Week: Distribute the student workbook to your students at the start of the course. Introduce one of the social media posts to your class per week for 45 weeks as bell-ringers. Students correct the grammar errors individually (or in groups or pairs). Then, you can use the PowerPoint slides to review the corrections as a class.

• Writing Centers: Include a packet of grammar task cards at a writing center where students can choose which social media posts to edit. Edits can be made on the task card or using the included workbook.

• Pair or Group Work: Distribute each pair or small group of students a grammar task card and have them complete it collaboratively. Then, each pair can present the social media post to the class and share what edits they made. The class can give further suggestions. Use the PowerPoint to check their work!
