Description

This Year 3 and 4 Persuasive Unit is a comprehensive 2137-page resource perfect for teachers looking to:

  • help students become skilled readers and persuasive writers and communicators
  • spend more time teaching, observing and assessing instead of programming and planning

This interconnected unit will help your students develop key literacy skills, a deeper understanding of how language works and how to use it effectively in their own writing. Covering 10 weeks of reading, writing, grammar, punctuation, vocabulary, fluency, comprehension, spelling, handwriting and keyboarding, this unit is designed to save teachers a significant amount of planning time - a total of 176 hours, equivalent to over 4 weeks of full-time work.

Best of all, it can be used with ANY text, making it a versatile and valuable resource as well as giving teachers the freedom to choose the books that best suit their class. OR it can be used with the example texts referenced in this unit, such as: Wandi and Ned Kelly and the Green Sash. This unit also includes 10 weeks of fluency and close reading analysis to unpack key vocabulary, inferences, structure and language features.

With a focus on the power of persuasion, this unit comes complete with 2137 pages of programs, lesson plans, PowerPoint Presentation Slides, exemplars, Instructional Videos, Observation and Assessment sheets, Unit Overview & Timetable, Report Comment Bank, and Homework booklet. This Persuasive Unit for individual use is a valuable addition to any teacher’s toolkit.
