Grade 5 Science Unit 2 - Properties and Structures in Matter
Description
This unit on Properties and Structures in Matter meets the requirements of the Saskatchewan Grade 5 Science outcomes and indicators. There are three units included, one for each of the following outcomes:
MC5.1: Investigate the characteristics and physical properties of materials in solid, liquid, and gaseous states of matter
MC5.2: Investigate how reversible and non-reversible changes, including changes of state, alter materials
MC5.3: Assess how the production and disposal of raw materials and manufactured products affects self, society and the environment
There are 6 lessons for Outcome 1, 8 lessons for Outcome 2 and 9 lessons for Outcome 3. All have descriptions of what the teachers can do and how students are expected to perform.
