Description

Numbers to 1,000 is a 250+ page unit that includes 16 lessons to teach students how to compare, represent, read, and order whole numbers up to 1,000. The Numbers to 1,000 unit provides you with everything you and your students need to learn, think critically, and wonder about mathematics. Please note this is a printable resource. There is NO Google Slide component to this resource.

This resource features one full week of review lessons reviewing Numbers to 200. The remaining lessons introducing new content and skills span a time period of approximately two full weeks.

Wonderland Math is a math unit series designed to meet the Ontario 2020 Mathematics curriculum. Each unit features between 8 – 12 lessons. Wonderland Math is hands-on and encourages students to think critically about concepts related to math, such as addition, subtraction, number sense, etc. Let’s take a look at what the Grade 3, Unit 1: Numbers to 1,000 resource includes.

The Grade 3, Unit 1: Numbers to 1,000 is a 250+ paged resource that provides you tools you need to scaffold student understanding of numbers up to 1,000 and for students to develop an understanding of numbers up to 1,000 including:

  • Read whole numbers up to and including 1,000
  • Represent whole numbers up to and including 1,000
  • Compose and decompose whole numbers up to and including 1,000
  • Compare whole numbers up to and including 1,000
  • Order whole numbers up to and including 1,000
  • Round whole numbers to the nearest ten
  • Round whole numbers to the nearest hundred
  • Count to 1,000 including by 50s, 100s, and 200s
  • Use place value when describing multi-digit numbers in a variety of ways **
  • Use place value when representing multi-digit numbers in a variety of ways **

** Please note that while place value is introduced in this unit, there will be another full-length unit on place value.
