Grade 2 Reveal Math Unit 8 & 9 Instructional Slides

These slides include an index at the beginning with links to all lessons in the unit. Each lesson follows the curriculum with the number routine, be curious, guided exploration, work together, on my own, and reflection sections.

- There are some transitions in the slides. Most of these transitions are to help the teacher with questions or notes about the next strategy will be.

-There are some manipulatives for the teacher to use during some lessons. These manipulatives, such as virtual rulers, are on the slides. When they need to be used there is an (esc) key picture at the top right of the screen.

-The Math Probe and Exploration Activities pages are included in these slides.

-Some of these lessons require writing an equation and then using multiple strategies to solve. The slides were created so the equation could stay written on the board in the same spot while the educator can transition to new slides to process the strategies with the class.

-Unit 9 introduces 3-digit addition and it is helpful for students and teachers to have a hundreds, tens, and ones chart. The last page of this document contains the chart that can be printed. This chart is the same chart that appears in the slides when used.
