Description
The Numeracy Progression Assessment is given three times per year. Ideally, September, February and June. There are three different tests that assess the progression of bench marked Numeracy Skills per grade level. Each test comes with a student rubric for reporting. See below for listed outcomes assessed for each test.
Test 1
- Skip count forwards and backwards by 1, 2, 5, 10s to 20
- Subitize a set of objects to 10
- Demonstrates an understanding of counting
- Represent and describe numbers to 100
- Compare numbers to 20 using fewer, more
- Identify a number up to 20 that is one more or less, two more or less
- Demonstrate an understanding of addition and subtraction to 20.
- Recall addition and related subtraction facts to 5
Test 2 & 3
- Skip count forwards and backwards by 2, 5, and 10 with 1 and 10 at any start points to 100
- Tell if a number to 100 is odd or even
- Represent and describe numbers to 100
- Compare and order numbers to 100
- Illustrate an understanding of place value to 100
- Demonstrate an understanding of addition and subtraction to 100 (limited to 2- and 3-digit numerals)
- Determine addition and subtraction facts to 18
- Recall addition facts to 10
- Recall related subtraction facts to 10
