Description

This is a fun, Common Core-aligned, guided reading packet to go with the novel Gooseberry Park by Cynthia Rylant. This packet stretches the entire novel. Each chapter is represented with questions and responses. This packet addresses: comprehension questions, text dependent questions, analysis of brief passages, literary terms including simile and onomatopoeia, inferencing questions, predictions, parts of speech and even a concluding writing assignment prompt. Fun illustrations and graphics, too!

Gooseberry Park is one of my favorite books, and I hope you will be able to enjoy it with your students using this packet, as much as I do. Enjoy!
