Description

Take your students on a virtual field trip to Mexico City withing Google Earth! Perfect for Spanish students grades 6-12! Student-centered and student friendly!

Students will experience the sights and sounds around El Zócalo, visit the famous Cathedrals, shop famous markets, and learn about the history of Mexico City with a guided virtual tour.

This activity integrates photos, video, Google Maps, and Google Street View, which allows students to virtually walk the streets and tour the city and a guiding handout organizes student learning. Not only will students learn about culture and history, but they'll constantly be making cultural comparisons with their own experiences.

It is recommended, though not required, that students have Google accounts, which are free if they don't already have them. Perfect for distance learning, sub plans, and days where you kids need to work independently. Now includes quick video tutorial.
