What educators are saying

Great resource for goal setting, and I love that Rosie the Riveter goes along with our social studies standards.
One of my all time favorite things I've done with my kids in class for a project! My first year doing it, my IA loved the finished product so much and she was leaving the school that year, she wanted to keep this to frame and hang in her new place one day. Three years later and she still has it!

Description

Rosie the Riveter "We Can Do It" collaborative group poster. This collaborative poster makes a great classroom focal point for Back to School, New Year's Resolution, Growth Mindset statement, or Women's History Month.

My "We Can Do It!" activity is also great for developing and displaying "I can" growth mindset statements, goal setting for the new school year, New Year's resolutions, or even positive testing motivation statements.

Use it at the beginning of a new school year, the beginning of a new year, or at test-taking time to show off everything everyone hopes to accomplish in the days, months, years to come!

If you are using it for back to school goal setting, growth mindset, or a New Year's resolution activity, students can all write their goals for the week, month, year (whatever you are focusing on), and then they will work together to make this collaborative "We Can Do It!" poster. Display the poster and the goal sheets up in your room as a visual motivation for your students! If a student is struggling--show some muscles and say, "We Can Do It!"

There are two options so you can choose what works best for you and your students. Both options are very easy. Each student is given one page of the poster to color. Once all sheets are colored and cut out, they are then assembled to reveal a large collaboration mosaic/poster/mural of Rosie the Riveter.

Poster Details:

  • There are 30 pieces in this collaborative poster.
  • The size of the final poster, when put together, is approximately 34 in. x 41 in. (the exact size will depend on your printer settings).
  • You will need crayons, markers, or colored pencils in red, yellow, blue, black, brown, and peach.

Poster Options:

Poster #1: The colors have been assigned. Students will follow the colors assigned using the color key on each page.

Poster #2: The colors have NOT been assigned. Let your students color the poster whatever colors they want (or that you assign).

BONUS Coloring Page:

Group collaboration posters are a lot of fun and leave a lasting impression. However, students don’t get to walk away with anything tangible to show their families. I have included a one-page coloring sheet of this poster for your students to have. This is also very useful for early finishers.
