Description

Teach students about VITAL SIGNS with hands-on activities.  This unit is filled with rich informational text, informative video links, and a digital notebook of student activities to practice taking and understanding vital signs.  Once students are familiar with vital signs, they are tasked with being both caregiver and patient in role play scenarios.  Caregivers implement the soft skills of a medical assistant while taking a patient’s vital signs.  The patient will then complete a patient satisfaction survey to evaluate their caretaker.  After this summative assessment, a more formative assessment can be assigned.  A quizlet and study guide are both included to help students prepare for the formative assessment.
