What educators are saying

My K students enjoyed trying to build similar structures to the ones included in the book and pictures. Very engaging.
Bring books together with STEAM activities keeps kids engaged and helps them think like an engineer. It also makes the story / book more memorable, therefore improving their comprehension knowledge. Great activities!

    Description

The first 4 STEM lessons for you to teach Kindergarten Engineering, set up procedures, and build a classroom community at the beginning of the school year.

In this STEM Bundle, students learn about what an engineer is, how to be curious throughout the school year, how to use their imagination to design new ideas, and what science is.

They focus on being kind, safe, and work hard as they discover the joy of STEM learning. Each challenge connects to a read aloud book to help students connect to the activities.

Students conduct investigations, use engineering, and science to do the following:

    • Ask questions, make observations, and gather information.
    • Draw and build to show how a problem can be solved.
    • Follow classroom rules and work together with a team.
    • Analyze data from tests of two objects to compare the strengths and weaknesses.

Each activity is designed specifically with kindergarten in mind. They build simple projects to give them a firm foundation in engineering. The lessons align to Kindergarten NGSS covering all of the engineering standards.
