This Back to School About Your Teacher Test goes beyond the basic get-to-know-you questions like 'What's your favorite food? What's your favorite color?' to facilitate a connection between you and your upper-grade students while also introducing your test-taking procedures and classroom rules.

When introducing the activity to students, I like to call this the MOST IMPORTANT TEST OF THE YEAR. This creates a little buzz until they realize it is simply a way for them to get to know their teacher better.

This product was created in Google Slides and can easily be edited or assigned in Google Classroom or Canvas. A printable worksheet is also included so that this first-day activity can be easily customizable for any classroom situation.

There are many variations for how you can use this activity in your classroom.

You can add more slides, edit the text, change the font, swap out the color of the shape... the options really are endless for making this YOURS. Your students will love getting to know you in this way!
