Georgia O'Keeffe Warm and Cool Flower Painting Art Lesson

Students will learn some facts about American artist, Georgia O'Keeffe, and see examples of her paintings. Then they will pick from 28 provided full-color photographs of flowers and draw their own up-close flowers. Just print and laminate! This lesson includes tips for drawing, painting, and blending colors. Warm and cool colors are emphasized as vocabulary in this lesson. This is a great activity to do with older elementary or middle school students and is perfect for spring or Mother's Day. I taught this lesson to my fourth-grade visual art students and it took them about three 45-minute class periods to complete.
