Geometry Flashcards: Beginning Properities and Postulates

Students have such a tough time learning to recognize algebraic properties and geometric properties and postulates. Especially when learning to apply them to justify steps in problems.

This set of flash cards will help your high school geometry students learn to recognize the properties of equality and congruence, and segment addition and angle addition postulate. The cards do NOT have the traditional a, b, and c examples. Instead, they are written with various angle and segment names, and several are written in conditional "if-then" format vertically. This will help your students learn to recognize the properties in proof format so they will have an easier time applying them.

There are 24 cards ready to print front to back. Plan to give your students at least 20 minutes to work with the cards. These cards can also be printed out one sided and used as a sorting activity if you wish.
