What educators are saying

This was a great review of genetics and punnett squares. My students enjoyed flipping the coins to determine traits. The only downside is that the pages are a bit blurry when printed due to the font that is being used.

Description

Want to make your introduction into GENETICS fun???

Here is a great resource!!!

There is an introduction information page that is easy to read and follow that explains all the terms.

The next page is a practice sheet to see if they understand the terms. (can be used as a post assessment as well!!)

Next kids will flip a coin to determine the genotypes and phenotypes of a Teddy Bear.

Finally they will color in their Teddy Bear based on those traits.

You can use this as an introduction into genetics ad there is a page of information that covers:

•Alleles

•Dominant vs recessive traits

•Homozygous vs heterozygous

•Traits

•Genes

Or you can use it as a reinforcement since you don’t need the first page with all the information to do the coloring.

Either way, it is a fun way to spend the day!
