Description

With this resource, students will learn about common ingredients in baking and their functions with the guidance of a Google Slides Presentation and Note Guide. To recap, students will play memory. While playing, they will match the ingredient to their function.

Ingredients covered are: flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, yeast, salt, fat, egg, milk, and vanilla.

Note: This is basic and does not go into extreme detail. For example, this is what is listed for baking powder:

  • Helps the baked good expand
    • Height, diameter, length, width
  • Referred to as a leavening agent
  • Fun fact: Baking powder contains baking soda.
