What educators are saying
Description
This is a set of literature circle task cards and activities linked to the song "From Little Things, Big Things Grow" by Kev Carmody and Paul Kelly.
These resources are part of a larger unit of work (also available in my store) which examines the History Strand "Australia as a Nation", particularly examining the struggles of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People for land rights and freedoms. This unit of work particularly explores the events of the Wave Hill Walk-Off, led by Vincent Lingiari.
This is a set of resources which can be implemented in isolation in a Stage Three classroom, using the song "From Little Things, Big Things Grow" as a framework.
There is a set of ten full-colour literature circle task cards, which can either be printed and laminated, displayed on a platform such as Google Classroom, or on a screen. Tasks are designed to be engaging with a high degree of student choice so as to be completed independently in group time.
There is also a set of lyrics for this song, as well as a comprehension booklet, which can be printed and completed independently. The comprehension booklet accesses high-order thinking skills.
All associated printables are included. This is a completely no-prep bundle. If one activity was completed each day, there are enough activities for two weeks' duration.
I have loads of other literature-based resources in my store, most of them based on Australian content, so feel free to check them out.
All of my resources are 20% off for the first 48 hours, so be sure to hit the green "follow me" star to be alerted when they drop!
