Friday Math Journal Page

Occasionally, I will use the beginning of my Friday class period to give the students an opportunity to reflect on the material that was covered in class during the week. The journal page allows the students write down in their own words what they learned during the week. It also gives me the opportunity to see which students are picking up and remember the key concepts being taught.

Additionally, instead of just having the students write down and reflect on what they have learned, I will occasionally put a simple problem on the board and have the students describe the process needed to solve the problem.
