French Halloween Activities & Word Wall - Includes 24 Costumes Vocabulary Cards

This French Halloween package includes a variety of activities and vocabulary cards you can use in the weeks leading up to Halloween.

The file includes:

• 24 costume vocabulary cards (The costumes included are: un astronaute, un clown, un cowboy, un chevalier, une ballerine, une abeille, une coccinelle, une fée, un lion, un pirate, un robot, un super-héros, une sirène, une princesse, un lapin, une squaw, Frankenstein, une momie, un vampire, une sorcière, un chat, un fantôme, un monstre et une citrouille)

• 28 Halloween vocabulary cards with clip art and 4 blank cards if you wish to add your own words (The words included are: automne, une araignée, un bonbon, un balai, une citrouille, un chapeau, un chaudron, un chat noir, une chauve-souris, un fantôme, une fête, la fête de l'Halloween, un hibou, orange, octobre, une potion, un masque, une maison-hantée, une pierre tombale, noir, une toile d'araignée, peur, du sang, un os, une perruque, une sorcière, un squelette et Frankenstein).

The 5 activities included in this package are:

1) Comparaison de costumes (Students compare two costumes - They must compare the physical characteristics of the costume and the personality associated with each one)
2) Que dirais? (Students answer questions along the lines of "What would a robot say to a princess? What would a lion say to a clown?")
3) Ma potion magique (Students have to create a potion that will give them the ability to fly using only 5 ingredients. They will list their ingredients and explain why they chose each one)
4) Ma citrouille raconte une histoire (This is a Pumpkin Glyph. Students will decorate their pumpkin by answering the questions that go with it)
5) Ma maison hantée (Students will design their own haunted house. For this activity in particular, I would recommend photocopying it on a larger paper so that students can include as much as they want in their haunted house)

These activities and vocabulary cards can be used in your literacy centers or for your Word of the Day. The majority of the activities are better suited for students in Grade 2-5 immersion AND Grade 6-8 Core and Extended. The vocabulary cards can be used as early as SK all depending on their level of French.
