Freeze Dance with Ribbon Wands

This video (3:39) features 3 fun and upbeat 90's dance songs:

1. "Let's Get Ready to Rumble" by K.O.'s
2. "C'Mon n' Ride It (The Train)" by Quad City DJ's
3. "We Like to Party" by Vengaboys

Instructions:

Hand each student a ribbon wand or juggling scarf. Place small cones or dots around the room (at least one per student). Have the students pick a cone/dot to stand at/near. Play the video.

The features the following slideshow sequence, which repeats 6 times with different images:

1. Image with a line pattern: The students move their wands/scarves in the air to draw that same pattern while moving to the music.
2. 5 freeze dance poses: The students move their body into these poses.
3. Image with a different line pattern: The students move their wands/scarves in the air to draw that same pattern while moving to the music.
4. Traffic cone Image (this image is the same every time): The students move to a different cone/dot in the room and dance as they wait for the sequence to repeat.

This dance is so much fun and works well as a brain break or a chance to teach pattern, sequence, line, shape, etc.
