What educators are saying
Description
I use this assignment to have students demonstrate their understanding of Punnett squares because each student creates a fish family that is unique to only them.
Generally, I complete one trait with the class and have random students flip a coin to determine whether the trait I’m figuring out will be homozygous dominant, heterozygous dominant, and homozygous recessive. I also use this time to review (or if I’m using this lesson to introduce the topic) or begin the topic.
No answer key provided because answers will vary.
