Fraction of a Whole Number Lesson - Smartboard

This is a Smartbaord lesson that teaches students how to find a fraction of a whole number. In this lesson students use equivalent fractions to solve these problems. In all the problems the denominator is a factor of the whole number (ex. Find 2/5 of 15). The method is modeled first. Next, students try one with teacher support. Then, students try a few independently. Finally, students will solve word problems invloving this same skill. The preview file has thumbnail shots of many of the pages from this lesson. I also have a tic tac toe Smartboard game in my store that is a fun way to practice this skill.
