Why use Fraction Talks in your classroom?
I created a resource that I always wanted in the classroom that students will actually enjoy doing during a fraction unit. Let's bring more visuals to your fraction unit to boost conceptual understanding!
Every year, I started my 4th grade fraction unit by asking my students one question and having them respond independently. Here is the prompt below:
"If you were stranded on a deserted island and starving, would you want a slice of pizza from a pizza cut into fourths or sixths?"
Most students selected the pizza cut into sixths. This proved they were missing vital visual fraction practice!
Who should purchase this resource?

- Teachers wanting ZERO PREP math activities
