ADORABLE Penguin made from wholes, halves, & fourths!
I have included templates for each of the pieces. You can copy onto colored paper, or di-cut your own using similar sizes! I have also included a recording sheet to accompany the project.
If you are teaching fractions in the winter this is the perfect addition to your unit! You may have seen these adorable penguins before, but I have modified the fractions to meet the needs of my students. In Kindergarten, we are required to teach wholes, halves, and fourths of a fraction. Rather than using one orange circle and dividing it into eighths, I had my students use two orange circles, both cut into fourths. I also changed the layout of the feet--to look a little better (in my eyes!)
