Description

Tired of practicing math facts with paper/pencil everyday? Try this engaging game with your students and they'll be begging you to practice their shapes! Divide your class into two teams. Both lines should face the SMART board or projection screen. The students in the front of both lines battle it out to see who can say the answer the fastest. Whichever student says the answer first they get to stay in, and move to the back of their line. (Just like basketball knockout) The student who does not answer first is out, and they move to a designated spot in the room to cheer on his/her team. Play until there is only one team standing. This product includes fractions such as halves, thirds, fourths, fifths, sixths, sevenths, eighths, ninths, tenths, and twelfths and is a great review/practice how to read each fraction. ***This can also be played as Around the World. Two students begin standing, whichever student gives a correct answer moves on to the next student in the room etc. **This can also be used as a whole class activity, where all students call out the answers from their own seats to practice their fractions.
