What educators are saying

Love that this targets more than just sequencing. Adding retell, wh and y/n with visuals for sequencing helps so much!
I laminated each page and added Velcro so I can use them over and over. This is great for younger students and in my case level 3 students. The stories are short and I am able to work with the students on story retell and sequencing.

Description

Make teaching four-step sequencing fun with your speech and language students! This 4-step sequence story packet provides everything you need to teach 14 different four-step sequences. You'll be able to target sequencing, yes/no questions, wh-questions, and retell all in one packet!

14 different stories are included. Each story has four pictures that match up exactly with sentences from a simple story. Your students will love matching the pictures to the sentences and will feel successful with sequencing the stories!

Quick and Easy prep for you to easily work with these stories. Just print and go! Because the story is included on each of the three pages, you can easily send these home for extra practice too. Students love creating their picture story and taking it home to tell to their parents. Parents love it because they can easily check for accuracy by seeing the story while their child describes the pictures.

Here's what you'll get:

- 14 story pages with pictures and a visual sequence mat for placement
- Story page with both wh and yes/no questions for each story
- Black and white picture sequences with visual story mat for each story
- Story retell rubric
- Color pictures for each picture with 6 different 11 x 17 visual story mats
- Simple sentences that match each picture on the 11 x 17 mats

This resource provides engaging stories in two formats: black and white, no-prep pages for each story as well as large color pictures that can be placed on an 11x17 mat that is provided. There are 6 different mats to choose from with a variety of scaffolded visual supports. With six different options of sequencing mats, you will have a variety of ways to provide visual cues for your students. There are also written sentences that match each picture for all stories. These pictures and mats can be laminated and used for many years to come.

The black and white sequencing pages are perfect to use in your speech and language sessions and send home for reinforcement. Students love to color, cut, and glue the sequence pictures.

I love that it has questions, sequencing, and a retell rubric (along with space to record the oral story....which helps monitor grammar).
