What educators are saying

My students loved having a practical final exam in place of a written exam. I used this material to create that practical exam. Many great tips and suggestions for setting up the crime scene.
Great way to set up a crime scene for my students. Students especially enjoyed interviewing the witnesses!

Level of Work: The materials are written at an introductory level. If you teach honors students or have rigorous prerequisites for enrolling in Forensic Science, please consider using these as unit introductory activities. Because the information is not too rigorous, non-honors students will be able to manage without considerable frustration but it would be best to have a lecture or some form of directed instruction before the activity.

Teaching Duration: If the entire packet was completed as one unit, it would take at least three weeks, if not more. It can be used with multiple crime scenes. Time is totally dependent on the details of crime scene setup and how much evidence is collected. Some of the activities could be completed for homework to speed things along but most of the work is group work.

The file is a pdf.
