What educators are saying

Great resource. I used it as an introduction to the blood spatter section in the blood unit. Students were able to complete it with ease and previewed important information beforehand.
This was a terrific resource for our forensic science lessons in my advanced bio class. It was a great way to take notes and review. My students loved learning about all the investigation aspects involved in forensic/crime scene investigation.

Description

Teach your students Forensic Blood Spatter Analysis! NO PREP - This set of notes is designed to help your students learn how to identify different types of blood spatter patterns, and what they mean at a crime scene.

The notes follow along with the YouTube video ‘Blood Spatter Analysis Lecture’ posted by Renee Blake. The lecture is in two parts:

Part 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9XVJ2xBZV2c

Part 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ioL_GQO_I00

These links are included in both the print out notes (as tiny urls) and the digital notes so that they will be easy for your students to pull up.

This resource contains:

  • Three pagees of Digital Notes
  • Editable version of the Digital Notes
  • Three pages of Printable Notes - Editable
  • KEY of Notes filled in
  • Eleven question Google Form - Editable
  • Teaching Guide

Your students can use the Digital notes in class or during distance learning. They are made in Google Slides so students can fill them out easily. The images and text of the notes are stationary (students can not change them). This prevents students from accidentally deleting or moving things around. Text boxes have been added so that they only need to click and type to answer questions! You students will also drag and drop elements to label and identify items in the notes.

I also provided an Editable version. If you want to add or change anything, you may do so with the Editable version!

Printable notes are designed to be printed and used in class. They can also be completed digitally. Students can fill them in online using Kami or a similar program.

The Blood Spatter Google Form review can be given to your students right after they complete the notes to see what topics they may need more help understanding. It can also be  used as a review before the test!
