What educators are saying

Great resource for the application of impressions. The students were engaged and loved the activity.

Description

There's been a murder in an apartment and your students will sleuth through the evidence to determine the murder weapon. An apartment has been set up with a mock crime scene and videod/photographed like it's a real crime scene. Students will evaluate bloody footprints for shoe size and shoe tread as well as identifying which tool likely made the death wound. In addition, students will analyze the crime scene and clues to determine characteristics of the killer.

The set includes 55 crime scene photos and 2 videos of the entire apartment (YouTube links). All of the photographs are also showcased in both PPT and PDF for classroom use. The worksheet is 5 pages long with a backstory and suspect information for the mock crime scene. Teacher Directions are also included with suggested lesson delivery as well as a worksheet key.
