Are you looking for a project for your Global Foods, World Languages, Culinary Arts or International Cuisine Class? This global foods menu project will have your students excited to show what they learned about a country of their choice! They will research one country or region's cuisine and design a menu with foods from the region.

Students create a menu with the template provided to show what they learned about the cuisine of another country.

What's Included in this Global Foods Menu Project:

  • 2-page menu template with:
    • Cover
    • 4 entree spaces
    • 2 salad/appetizer spaces
    • 2 dessert spaces
    • About the restaurant section

  • Student directions for easy assigning
  • Student brainstorm sheet
  • Students research chart to record the information they find about their country
  • Teacher rubric for easy grading

Students will:

  • Research one country's cuisine
  • Choose items to include in their menu
  • Write descriptions for each item
  • Draw a picture of each item

This can be used as an introduction assignment or as a final project. You can have students present their menus to the class or create a "gallery walk" with the menus. The rubric is out of 100 points.

Students are graded based on:

  • restaurant title

  • grammar
