What educators are saying

I utilized this task as a mid-term assessment for a marketing unit. I plan to incorporate it into my curriculum annually. It presents an enjoyable challenge, and students appreciate the opportunity to showcase their creativity through designing food truck menus.
This was a wonderful resource that was both informative, engaging, and challenging for my student. Concepts were well presented. Thanks!

Description

Make business real for your students with this engaging marketing, food truck-themed project. In this project students create a food truck business concept. Students apply the functions of marketing, marketing mix, and discuss economic utilities. This project contains point values for each question.

This activity refers to the marketing functions as: distribution, financing, marketing information management, pricing, product service management, promotion, and selling. The components of the marketing mix include: product, place, price, and promotion. Economic utilities mentioned include: form, place, time, and possession.

This product includes a suggested answer key, however, please keep in mind answers will vary because of the open-ended nature of questions and variety of business concepts selected. Each question as point values listed for a total of 110 points.

This activity is meant to accompany any of the other food truck activities sold in the Business Girl store, but it can also be standalone. You can save $$$ by purchasing this project as part of the Food Truck Simulation Semester Project. This lesson is fully EDITABLE.

This project usually takes several class periods to complete. I like to break it down and focus on the marketing mix one class period, marketing functions another, and economic utilities another. I also like to have students conduct this project as a small group. I prefer 2 to 3 students per group. To expand your lessons on marketing, pair this product with the Marketing Mix Practice Problems for a Computer and Candy Business, Functions of Marketing (Sports Drink and Shoe Business Scenario), and Economic Utilities Activity Pack.
