What educators are saying
Engaging for my students. They enjoyed the activities to get a better understanding of rationing. Many made connections to COVID rationing of items too.
My students really enjoyed this activity! It was easy for them to understand and they even told me how much they enjoyed it.
Description
This Food Rationing Activity is perfect to use during a unit on World War 2! Students will learn how people rationed food during World War 2 using ration points.
- I have used this activity with my 5th graders for years, and they are always engaged and shocked to find that food rationing is a lot harder than they thought it would be.
- During this food rationing activity, students will use a certain number of ration points to create a breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu. The activity also includes reflection questions.
This activity is INCLUDED in my best-selling World War 2 Unit!
