Students will explore a website to learn about food preservation. They will answer 15 questions. Some examples of questions are:
- What is food preservation?
- Food preservation stops 2 things from happening to food. What are they?
- There are 6 common preservation methods discussed in this reading. What are they?
- Why should you never refreeze defrosted food?
- There are 2 types of salting methods: dry and wet curing. Explain both methods.
- Why should you avoid vacuum sealing soft cheese, mushrooms, broccoli, cabbage, and brussels sprouts?
This comes with an answer key. The format of this is a Google Folder with 2 Google Docs (assignment and key). This can be done in person, virtual, or with a sub.
