Description
Kids love music so why not teach them an essential part of reading while also exposing them to older music, different genres, and text structure? All of my fluency song lyrics are real songs, and are kid tested and approved (seriously, throughout the year they will continually ask me to play our old fluency songs).
Throughout a single week, kids will read the lyrics to one song and hear that song every single day. They will have to read the lyrics to that song on screen while also keeping up with the tempo, which promotes word recognition, rhythm, and reading fluency.
