Do you want students to understand the NEXT GENERATION / SUNSHINE STATE STANDARDS Social Studies & Science and what they are learning? Students to take ownership of their learning? Perfect Focus wall for Social Studies & Science and checklist for students to see if they are understanding the standards.

This is a complete set of 4th grade NEXT GENERATION / SUNSHINE STATE STANDARDS Social Studies & Science "I Can" posters and just the standard posters. The posters match the NEXT GENERATION Florida standards. The standards are rewritten in student-friendly "I Can" statements and there are ones without I Can. Use these in your classroom to "frame" the lesson. Show the student what they will be learning during the lesson. I like to display them on my Focus Wall

These posters provide a quick, easy and effective way to show administrators, fellow teachers, and students which Standards and benchmarks are being taught.

You can also use the print feature to print 4 to a sheet and make them smaller.

These Posters are color coordinated to match the Standard Strand.

I recommend printing these on cardstock and laminating them in order to extend lifespan. You can print them Black and White and use Astro brights. I would use one color for each Strand.

These files were created so that students could take ownership of their own learning and track their progress. These checklists summarize the Next Generation/ Sunshine State standards in kid-friendly “I can” statements.

In our school, we are using student data folders. If you have these folders, you could add these pages for each student. If you do not, you could either staple these pages together to make a booklet -or place them inside a pronged folder.

I have the students write the date the standard was taught or the date we took the test on that standard. I also have the students write what they made on the test. If they didn't pass the test I have a section for Intervention/Pre-Taught then a Date of Mastery if they needed to retake the test.
