Description
Teach your students to get out of their rigid thinking ruts and into more flexible thinking with this highly interactive PowerPoint filled with animations, quizzes, and fun!
Overview of PowerPoint
•Begins with a story of a boy who has trouble with changes in routine, thinking outside of the box, and doing things differently.
•Students learn about different types of thinking with visual metaphors. Rigid thinking is shown as a railroad track and shows the problem of railroad thinkers getting stuck when something is in the way. Flexible thinking is introduced as being like water that can flow around problems and create a new way to go.
•Students are taught ways they can challenge themselves to be flexible thinkers with three common problems for rigid thinkers. Students learn to go with the flow when plans changes, get creative when their usual way of doing something doesn't work, and to let others have their way sometimes when they want to do things differently.
•Ends with a quiz/game where the students help the boy in the story at the beginning learn how to become a flexible thinker (fun animations included!)
•Bonus worksheet where students need to think outside of the box and complete a drawing. Three versions are included.
Enjoy!
