Five Little Speckled Frogs Nursery Rhyme File Folder Activity
I love using nursery rhymes to teach little ones. They can play a pretty big role in developing language, communication, early math, and literacy skills. Hearing new words and listening to new sounds helps to set a great foundation before students learn to read and write. Using nursery rhyme printables, like this one, not only helps to improve the above mentioned skills, but also improves fine motor skills.
With this resource students can "act out" the nursery rhyme while singing along. Included are directions, nursery rhyme lyrics, pond scene, frogs, numeral pieces, and a "home" for the frogs/ pieces.
**Also included is the black and white version! This option would be great for those wanting to save colored ink, or for those who want their students to color and take home.
This resource can be used as a file folder activity or just simply as a play mat.
You can use this activity during circle time, song time, center time, math center, SPED, day-care, or while your child or student listens to or watches the Five Little Speckled Frogs Nursery Rhyme.
