    What about the Calculus?

For the FIRST DERIVATIVE TEST, students should be able to find the derivative

    • using the Product, Quotient, and Chain Rules
    • of a polynomial function
    • of a function with e^x
    • of a function with sin(x) or cos(x)
    • of a square root function
    • of a rational function
    • of a rational exponent function such as x^(2/3)

In addition, for the SECOND DERIVATIVE TEST, students should be able to

    • find the derivative of the natural log
    • find the derivative of a function with sec(x)
    • make a determination about the concavity of the graph of f when given the graph of f''

How does the Digital Circuit work?

    • After a student enters her email address, name, and period, she is taken to question 1. The student answers question 1 and finds her answer in the drop-down menu that has 15 choices. She is taken to a different question based on her answer.
    • If a student answers question 1 correctly, she will be taken to question 2. If a student chooses the wrong answer for question 1, she will be taken to a different question, e.g. question 8. If this happens, the student can click on Back to go back to the previous question and try again.
    • After a student answers all questions correctly, she will be taken to the “Congratulations” screen where she can submit her answers.

    What do I need?

    • You will need to have a Google account. Google accounts are free.
