First Thanksgiving Activity: Internet Scavenger Hunt

The First Thanksgiving! Kids are fascinated and surprised at the many similarities and vast differences between the first Thanksgiving and the holiday we celebrate today! This internet scavenger hunt activity is a great way to keep your students engaged while learning about the the, the European settlers, Native Americans, and the events surrounding the first Thanksgiving. While completing this WebQuest, students will learn about the history surrounding the First Thanksgiving as well as its significance in history and how it differs from the modern Thanksgiving experience.

In addition, students will explore websites that share different information on the first Thanksgiving. Then, they will use their prior knowledge combined with what they have learned to construct a compare and contrast essay.
