Description

Are your school mornings rushed and hectic? Mine were… until I used this morning work binder with my students! This product is great way to incorporate morning work into your routine without all the daily copies and stress! It is reusable, put it together once and you can use it every day for the rest of the year.

The activities included are aligned to 1st Grade Common Core Standards and has many options to tailor it to the needs of your students.

Here’s how it works:

I simply made one copy of the packet per student at the beginning of the year. I put each paper (double sided) in a page protector in a small binder. Students use dry erase markers to work on it and complete a page every day in the morning! When it’s time to start your day, students just erase and put it away.

This has great daily reviews and practice for skills used throughout First Grade. You can add or take away skills as you learn them. Also included are skills worksheets for additional practice.

Tell and write time in hours and half-hours using analog and digital clocks.
Count to 120, starting at any number less than 120. In this range, read and write numerals and represent a number of objects with a written numeral.
Understand that the two digits of a two-digit number represent amounts of tens and ones. Understand the following as special cases:
Given a two-digit number, mentally find 10 more or 10 less than the number, without having to count; explain the reasoning used.
Apply properties of operations as strategies to add and subtract. If 8 + 3 = 11 is known, then 3 + 8 = 11 is also known. (Commutative property of addition.) To add 2 + 6 + 4, the second two numbers can be added to make a ten, so 2 + 6 + 4 = 2 + 10 = 12. (Associative property of addition.)
