Description

Have you ever felt overwhelmed and just needed a minute to catch your breath? Have you ever wondered how you could keep your class busy while you worked one-on-one with a student or small group? I know I have and that's why I created 7 Minute Whiteboard Videos. They are ZERO prep! No copies! No early finishers! No grading! The best part is, kids LOVE them!

These videos offer a quick, no-prep review that your students are going to love! Each student needs a whiteboard, marker, and eraser. They are a wonderful resource for in-person AND distant learning.

Videos included are-

❤️ Domino Addition - Valentine Monsters are holding dominoes. Can your kids write the addition fact that matches the domino before the monster flips it? Can your kids write the new fact? This is a great visual for reinforcing the properties of addition. Click here to see it!

❤️ Valentine Prepositions - "Is the worm inside of the mailbox? Write yes or no!" I LOVE these preposition videos for ELL. Click here to check it out.

❤️ Conversation Heart Sight Words - We see a box of candy hearts dump out. Each heart has a letter on it. The box tells us a sight word that these letters spell. Can your kids unscramble the letters to build the word before we see the correct answer? Words in this video include: would, make, like, him, into, time, has, look, two, more. Click here to see a preview of this video.

❤️ First Grade HEART Words - "Heart words are not spelled the way you think they should be. You have to remember them by heart." We see and hear words, write them on our boards, then draw a heart under the part that we need to remember by heart. As we erase the words, we put them in our heart so we'll always remember them. Words included in this video are: saw, said, of, very, could, from, down, our. Click here to see this video!

❤️ Equivelant Facts - "Write all the facts that are equal to..." After your kids have time to write, we see arrows shoot in with the correct anser to each addition and subtraction fact shown. Click here to see the preview!

❤️ Chocolate Box Subtraction (Multiples of 10) - "There are 80 chocolates. The kids ate 40. How many are left? Write the subtraction sentence." Your kids have time to figure it out before we see the math come to life. Click here to see it!

❤️ Shell Shapes - We see cute snails scoot across the screen. Their shells are different 2D shapes. Can your kids write the number of sides the snails shell has before he scoots away? Click here to see a preview of this video.

❤️ Heart Locket Vowel Teams - We see a heart locket with a picture on it and a word with a missing vowel team. Can your kids write the missing vowel team before we see the locket open revealing the vowels inside? Click here to see a quick preview of this video.

❤️ 1 More/1 Less, 10 More/10 Less Love Bugs - We see one love bug on a leaf. Can your kids write the numbers that are one more, one less, ten more, and ten less before the missing love bugs crawl into their places? Click here to see a preview of this video.

❤️ Missing Blends Claw Machine - Your kids will LOVE practing blends with this one! We see a little girl holding a toy monster. The monster tells us a word. The girl thinks of the word and we see the word appear, but the blend is missing. Can your kids write the missing blend before we see the claw machine grab the word from the machine? Click here to see a preview!

❤️ CvCe Oven Bakes a Cake - Your kids are in for a sweet treat as they practice reading CvCe words. A word goes in the oven, but a picture comes out. Your kids will need to read the word and draw a picture of it before it finishes baking. Click here to see an example of this video. (As always, work time for students is skipped in previews.)

❤️ Valentines for Book Friends (Capitalizing Names) - We see valentine cards addressed to some of our favorite characters, but the sender forgot to use capital letters! The stamp on each envelope has a picture of the character. Can your kids fix the names by writing them correctly? Click here to see a preview of this video.

Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Given a two-digit number, mentally find 10 more or 10 less than the number, without having to count; explain the reasoning used.
Subtract multiples of 10 in the range 10-90 from multiples of 10 in the range 10-90 (positive or zero differences), using concrete models or drawings and strategies based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction; relate the strategy to a written method and explain the reasoning used.
Apply properties of operations as strategies to add and subtract. If 8 + 3 = 11 is known, then 3 + 8 = 11 is also known. (Commutative property of addition.) To add 2 + 6 + 4, the second two numbers can be added to make a ten, so 2 + 6 + 4 = 2 + 10 = 12. (Associative property of addition.)
Understand the meaning of the equal sign, and determine if equations involving addition and subtraction are true or false. For example, which of the following equations are true and which are false? 6 = 6, 7 = 8 - 1, 5 + 2 = 2 + 5, 4 + 1 = 5 + 2.
Distinguish between defining attributes (e.g., triangles are closed and three-sided) versus non-defining attributes (e.g., color, orientation, overall size); build and draw shapes to possess defining attributes.
