What educators are saying

I needed to assess some 1st grade students that I will be tutoring and I bought this as a guide to create their assessment (our tutoring was virtual so I could not use this). This was a great guide and I am sure I will be able to use it with my other students in person. Thank you!

Description

I created this product when I had a hard time finding assessments to document CCSS that I have taught in the first 6 months of school. As the standards are written for the end of the year, I did not want to use assessments that included items I had not taught yet. So, I developed this product, perfect for mid-year, the month of January, that only included Operations and Algebraic Thinking and Numbers in Base Ten.

This 40 page product includes assessments for:

  • 1.O. A.1
  • 1.O. A.2
  • 1.O.A.3
  • 1.O. A.4
  • 1.O. A.5
  • 1.O. A.6
  • 1.O. A.7
  • 1.O. A.8
  • 1.N.B.T. 1
  • 1.N.B.T. 2
  • 1.N.B.T. 3
  • 1.N.B.T. 4
  • 1.N.B.T.5
  • 1.N.B.T.6

Click on the preview button to see what is included. As always, please ask questions before purchasing. Thank you so much!♥

Count to 120, starting at any number less than 120. In this range, read and write numerals and represent a number of objects with a written numeral.
Understand that the two digits of a two-digit number represent amounts of tens and ones. Understand the following as special cases:
Compare two two-digit numbers based on meanings of the tens and ones digits, recording the results of comparisons with the symbols >, =, and <.
Add within 100, including adding a two-digit number and a one-digit number, and adding a two-digit number and a multiple of 10, using concrete models or drawings and strategies based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction; relate the strategy to a written method and explain the reasoning used. Understand that in adding two-digit numbers, one adds tens and tens, ones and ones; and sometimes it is necessary to compose a ten.
Given a two-digit number, mentally find 10 more or 10 less than the number, without having to count; explain the reasoning used.
