This month, we are practicing long vowels with silent e spelling pattern, beginning blends, double consonants, digraphs, reading short stories with comprehension questions, writing a complete sentence using words from the picture word bank, adding and subtracting within 120, skip counting, using a hundreds chart, telling time to the hour and half hour, place value, expanded notation, simple fractions (1/2 and 1/4) and adding coins.
This standards based, math and language arts program is perfect for the classroom, distance learning or homeschooling. It is structured in a way that is so easy to implement, and students can quickly become confident and independent with the standards that we are working on this month.

DAILY TASKS

20 days are included, so students complete these activity pages each day. They are labeled Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, etc. and will take them through the entire month.
If you print this pack front to back, it only requires two pieces of paper each day.
♦ Primary Language Arts
This daily worksheet focuses on the exact first grade standards I review in April. Each day students complete phonics, reading fluency/comprehension and writing. Students should generally be able to complete these on their own as it is intended for solidifying key standards.

The daily first math page also focuses on specific standards we are working on in April. The format and standards stay the same for the entire week to build student confidence. If you're using this for distance learning or homeschooling, parents don't have to give detailed instruction every single day as the skills stay the same throughout the week.
What is covered this month? Adding and subtracting within 120, skip counting, using a hundreds chart, telling time to the hour and half hour, place value, expanded notation, simple fractions (1/2 and 1/4) and adding coins.
♦ Daily Reading Log
Students are asked to read, or be read to, for 20 minutes a day. Then they fill out their daily reading log. This incorporates reading, writing, comprehension, illustrating and so much more.
Students complete the three activity pages each day as shown above, and then there are three blank spots on their daily task pages for you to add additional tasks/activities (optional).

OPTIONAL ADDITIONAL TASKS

I made the additional task and activity cards with both teachers and parents in mind! These are optional and parents can cut them out and glue them on to specific days as needed. It is a great visual and is very helpful so students can see what they are expected to do each day.

The format of these print and teach packs is similar to my kindergarten morning work packs. It is incredibly important that the format stays the exact same each day, and only the content changes.
The standards change each week, and for the entire week students are practicing the same skills. This brings continuity and structure to each lesson, while building their confidence.
