Description
This engaging Ancient China social studies project focuses on Qin Shihuangdi, the first emperor of China and requires students to come to the conclusion as to whether he was a hero or a villain. Students must use evidence to form an opinion about this controversial, historical figure then choose to present their view in one of two forms, as a poster or a dialogue.
Students can choose to work independently or collaboratively with either project. If students choose to complete the poster, they will include a combination of writing and original illustrations to represent Qin Shihuangdi as a hero and villain. If they choose to complete the dialogue, students will write a detailed and interesting conversation between two people, one who views Qin Shihuangdi as a hero and the other who views him as a villain.
