Description

This is an extensive lesson plan on medical circumstances that require either first aid, urgent care or emergency care. Note to the teacher; this plan can be divided into several sections and presented at separate times due to it's length. Clip art, printables, answer key, no prep needed.

Learning how and when to use 911

Recognizing Anaphylaxis and severe allergic reactions and what to do.

Understanding loss of consciousness and coma-the causes and what to do if it occurs

What to do when an individual is confused and what can cause a sudden onset of confusion

Learning what to do in case of dizziness, and what causes dizziness

Details on the signs of possible drug overdose and the steps to take to get help.

Recognizing signs and symptoms of a heart attack and what to do in case of a heart attack.

The difference between heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Signs and symptoms are explained and directions given on how to handle each health issue.

Understanding how and why shortness of breath occurs and what to do in case the issue arises.

Diabetes and hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). symptoms, how to address it and how to get aid or help

What to do in case of a Bloody nose, Broken bone, and Cuts or wounds.

How to treat Minor burns.
