If your head is spinning and you've no clue where to begin, then start right here. This is an original contemporary art curriculum for an art elective in middle or high school levels, following an overall theme of self-guided conceptual art. This is a contemporary approach in art education.

I have included big ideas with resources listed, ways to incorporate technology, suggested activities, and assessment options. If you follow this curriculum, your whole year will be planned for you. You may use your own creativity to guide the execution of your art activities! NOTE: these are not individual lesson plans; this curriculum includes all of the above sections formatted to guide you.
