Finding Volume Doodle Math Wheel 5th Grade Guided Notes and Practice

• Student math wheel
• Teacher key/wheel with completed notes and examples
• Colored sample of wheel
• A PowerPoint file that has a blank wheel with background, so you can add text to make your own math wheels, if you’d like (for classroom use only - not commercial use).

Features of this easy-to-use resource:

• Examples and figures in each section
  • The composite figures section includes two identical figures, so students can see that there are two ways to decompose the figure and get the same solution
• Guided practice or individual practice: there are dimensions of 8 figures in the pattern around the circle, for students to practice finding volume. These are labeled either “Cube” or “Rect Prism”
• Coloring/doodling opportunity: students can color the background pattern, as well as the headings and doodle arrows
